The word ' email ' stands for ' an electronic mail '.
It involves receiving and sending messages over an electronic communication system.
There are two types of emails.They are 'Formal and Informal emails. '
Formal emails are used to send to someone , who is in authority.
Informal emails are sent to a person you know well. such as friends or family members.
Formal emails have a very defined structure.

1)Subject line :-
Subject line is , what the reader sees, in their inbox. If you do not write the subject line , their is a possibility of not getting read your email.
Subject line should not be too long.
2) Salutation :
The Salutation directly addresses the person you are sending the email to.
Different Salutations -------
* If you are sending the email to a group, your Salutation Should be --
"Dear students/teachers/professors...etc.
* Suppose, you are sending the email to a person whose name you know ,-------
Write his name along with any title he has.
e.g. ' Dear Doctor Anil ',
* In case,you do not know the name of a person, but you know only the designation of the officer, then you can write:
e.g. 'Dear Deputy Director Of Education '
* In some instances, when you don't know the name and title ,then
you can write :
"To whom it may concern,"
3) Main Body---
The main body contains detailed information.
4) Closing :
It is the ending statement.
5) Attachments ,:
Here you mention if you have attached any file to email.
6) Signature line :
Here ,senders name, designation,signature, address and mobile number is required.
